Eurecat disseminates the SunCoChem project in the International Symposium on Homogeneous Catalysis
Roger Miró, PhD student at the Chemical Technology Unit from Eurecat, has presented the SunCoChem project in the XXII International Symposium on Homogeneous Catalysis (ISHC), celebrated from 24th – 29th of July in Lisbon (Portugal).
During the event, Roger Miró has participated in the first oral presentations session exposing the work titled “Electrochemical conversion of CO2 to CO using task specific ionic liquids with follow-up utilization to added-value chemicals”, which is based on some of the research done and results achieved as part of SunCoChem.
The SunCoChem project, coordinated by Eurecat, aims to provide the chemical industry with an alternative to produce oxo-chemicals without using raw materials derived from carbon or oil. To do this, the project is developing a photoelectrocatalytic tandem reactor to manufacture valuable chemical oxo-products from renewable energies based on CO2, H2O and solar energy.
The ISHC Symposium has provided a fundamental contribution to the chemical community for the discussion of new trends and challenges in catalysis. The event, covering all the fields of catalysis and related areas of different sciences, has included a scientific program with plenty of plenaries, keynote sessions, oral communications, invited lectures and posters presentations.
