Presenting SunCoChem in the National Congress of the Italian Chemical Society 2021
The SunCoChem project was presented during the XXVII National Congress of the Italian Chemical Society (SCI2021) celebrated from 14th to 23rd of September. The congress was a great meeting point which brought together the whole world of chemistry in Italy.
During the congress, Alessia Fortunati, from the Department of Applied Science and Technology of the Politecnico di Torino, delivered the presentation titled “Electrochemical CO2 conversion in Ionic Liquid-based electrolytes”, based on the SunCoChem project research and presenting its stability and performance testing of various ionic liquids and in particular their ability to capture and electrochemically convert a pure CO2 stream to CO with high efficiencies.

The work presented was produced by Alessia Fortunati in collaboration with María José Rubio, Nunzio Russo and Simelys Hernández, from Politecnico di Torino, and Boyan Iliev and Thomas Schubert, from Iolitec Ionic Liquids Technologies.
The Italian Chemical Society, a scientific association that has over four thousand members, carries out their activity in universities and research institutions, in schools, in industries, in public and private research and control laboratories, in the free profession.
