IIT partner presents SunCoChem at the MRS Fall Meeting 2024
The SunCoChem project was showcased at the Fall Meeting of the European Materials Research Society (MRS), held from September 16 – 19 at the main campus of the University of Technology in Warsaw, Poland. The event brought together leading researchers in the field of materials science, providing a platform to share cutting-edge advancements.
Angelica Chiodoni, project partner from the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT), represent the forum during the symposium titled “Exploring emerging photo and electrochemical systems for CO2 conversion to fuels and chemicals”. During the session she delivered the presentation “Operando characterization techniques as advanced tools to investigate catalysts for CO2RR”, highlighting some key research and findings obtained within SunCoChem. The talk emphasized advanced research on catalysts for CO2 reduction reactions (CO2RR), focusing on the innovative operando techniques used to investigate their performance.
The work presented stems from collaborative efforts within project’s consortium, which includes partners from Eurecat, SunCoChem’s coordinator, as well as the Politecnico di Torino and Laurentia Technologies.
The 2024 MRS Fall Meeting featured an extensive scientific program, with over 20 symposia organised into four key clusters covering the fields of Energy materials, Electronics, photonics and spintronics, nanomaterials and functional materials, and modelling. The event provided an invaluable opportunity for networking and knowledge sharing across a wide range of material science disciplines.
