SunCoChem project presented in the Materials for Sustainable Development Conference (MATSUS2023)
The SunCoChem project was presented during the Materials for Sustainable Development Conference (MATSUS Fall) organised as part of the nanoGe conferences and celebrated from 16th – 20th of October in Torremolinos, Spain).
Babu Radhakrishnan, project partner and Postdoctoral Researcher at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin, participated in the session “Solar fuels: moving from materials to devices”, delivering the presentation “Scale-up of Sulfur Incorporated BiVO4 Photoanode for Solar Water Splitting”, which is based on some research and results obtained within the project.
The presentation shows the importance of identifying and addressing the scale-up losses and optimizing the associated overpotential, and details how different strategies to minimize these losses, such as increasing the substrate conductivity and electrolyte engineering, were implemented as part of SunCoChem. The work presented was also produced by partners from Laurentia Technologies, Solaronix and Hysytech.
nanoGe, managed by Fundació Scito, organises international events and conferences covering cutting-edge scientific research with the objective of exchange and share technological and scientific knowledge among professionals, researchers, students and other interested stakeholders.
