SunCoChem research presented at the Materials Research Society Spring Meeting & Exhibit 2021
The SunCoChem-related research has been presented during the Symposium EN02 “Sustainable Routes to Fuels and Commodity Chemicals Production via Electrochemical Methods”, organised within the Materials Research Society (MRS) Spring Meeting & Exhibit from April 21st – 23rd.
During the session, a total of 4 posters / oral presentations based on SunCoChem research have been presented by project’s partners from the Politecnico di Torino (PoliTo), IOLITEC and Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT). Alessia Fortunati, PhD candidate at PoliTo received the award as the best poster of the 2021 MRS Spring Meeting, while Hilmar Guzman and Federica Zammillo, PhD candidates, were awarded for the best poster of the EN02 symposium.
The posters presented were focused on different project’s topics such as electrocatalytic CO2 reduction, carbon dioxide capture, electrochemical conversion with ionic liquids, catalyst nanoparticles or photoelectrochemical CO2 conversion.
Download the posters presented here:
- “Electrocatalytic CO2 Reduction on CuZnAl-Based Oxide Catalysts—Tuning of the H2/CO Ratio”
- “Carbon Dioxide Capture and Electrochemical Conversion with Ionic Liquids”
- “Strategies for improving GDE Performance by a Uniform Dispersion of Catalyst Nanoparticles and an Optimal Nafion Content”
- “Facile and Scalable Synthesis of Cu2O-SnO2 Catalyst for the Photoelectrochemical CO2 Conversion”
The Symposium was organised by SunCoChem partners Fatwa Abdi, from the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin (HZB), Simelys Hernandez from Politecnico di Torino and Francesca M. Toma from the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
The “Sustainable Routes to Fuels and Commodity Chemicals Production via Electrochemical Methods” Symposium aimed at providing an international and interdisciplinary platform to discuss about the latest trends and future directions in photoelectrochemical production of fuels and commodity chemicals.
