SunCoChem partners present project’s research at ECS Meeting 2024
SunCochem partners from the National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) and Politecnico di Torino (POLITO) presented project’s research at the 245th Electrochemical Society Meeting that took place in San Francisco (USA), on May 26-30th, 2024.
Sara Cavaliere, from CNRS, showcased the poster “Bipolar membranes for photoelectrochemical CO2 conversion”, which introduces the SunCoChem’s bipolar membranes prepared by interposing a web of electrospun fibers bearing water dissociation nanocatalysts at the interface between anion and cation exchange polymer layers.
Additionally, three SunCoChem-related papers were also presented by POLITO partners. Simelys Hernandez participated in a session on Photo-Electrocatalytic Carbon Dioxide Conversion and Solar Fuel Generation with the paper “Scaling-up the sun-driven electrocatalytic CO2 capture and conversion to Syngas”.
Federica Zammillo presented the paper “Assessing the activity and stability of Cu-based Gas Diffusion Electrodes for the CO2 conversion in different electrolytes: Bicarbonate vs. Ionic Liquid/Acetonitrile” on a session about electroconversion of CO2 and the effects of electrolyte.
Furthermore, Hilmar Guzmán gave a talk at a session on electroconversion of CO2 and Catalysts, and explained the paper “Sustainable and Tunable Electrochemical CO2 Conversion to Chemicals and Fuels at Industrial Scale Using Metal-Oxide-Based Materials”.
The 245th ECS Meeting that took place in San Francisco (CA, USA) from May 26-May 30 brought together scientists, engineers, and researchers from academia, industry, and government laboratories to share results and discuss issues on electrochemical topics.
