Presentation of a SunCoChem-based poster at the Solar2Chem Winter School
Alberto Lopera and Maria José López Tendero, project partners from Laurentia Technologies, presented a poster based on SunCoChem research during a poster session of the Solar2Chem Winter School “Materials and Methods for Solar Chemical Production”, held at the Polytechnic University of Valencia on February 22nd-24th.
The Solar2Chem Winter School hosted a leading group of international scientists from the chemical sector who presented the last achievements in the production of fuels and chemicals from solar light. The 100 attendees that participated in the event engaged in lectures, technical talks, roundtables, lab tours, networking activities and poster sessions.
The SunCoChem poster presented is entitled “Scalable Synthesis of Stable Core-Shell Cu2O/SnO2 Nanoparticles for The Electrochemical CO2 conversion” and introduces a low-cost and scalable process for producing core-shell Cu2O/SnO2 nanoparticles functionalised with a silane group.
Partners from Eurecat, Politecnico di Torino and the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia also contributed to the investigation that led to this poster.
The Solar2Chem project is part of the Road2GreenChem Cluster, also formed by FlowPhotoChem, ReCode, DECADE project, Ocean project and SunCoChem. This initiative brings which brings together EU-funded R&D projects on sustainable chemistry to develop innovative technologies in the field of greener chemistry, solar energy and greener power.
