Eurecat showcases SunCoChem solutions at Advanced Factories 2025
Eurecat Technology Centre, the coordinator of the SunCoChem project, has participated in Advanced Factories 2025, with a dedicated booth. The event took place in Barcelona, Spain, from 8 to 10 April, and brought together the latest advances and cutting-edge technology from over 570 leading firms that will transform factories into digital and sustainable factories due to the use of advanced and greener technology.
SunCoChem project was showcased in Eurecat’s catalogue, highlighting the development of a photoelectrocatalytic reactor to manufacture chemical products from renewable energies based on CO2, water and sunlight, integrating the capture and conversion of CO2 in a single dispositive.
SunCoChem’s innovation manages to reduce costs, reduce CO2 emissions and improve the efficiency of converting energy from sunlight to chemicals. In addition, the project-driven solution will have a significant impact in reducing the dependence of the European Chemical Industry (ECI) on carbon raw materials
Advanced Factories 2025 attracted more than 30.000 professionals and showcased solutions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, the European Green Deal, and broader efforts to decarbonize the industry.
