Eurecat disseminates SunCoChem project at the UNPRECEDENTED Virtual Forum
SunCoChem project has been presented in the session “Tech Transfer Forum – Projects Presentations II”, held within the Unprecedented Virtual Forum, celebrated last 17th of November.
During the session, SunCoChem scientific coordinator Miriam Diaz de los Bernardos from Eurecat, presented SunCoChem as a key European project for addressing the need of the European Chemical Industry and reducing their dependence on carbon feedstock by the development of a new photoelectrocatalytic device for sun-driven CO2 conversion into green chemicals.
Diaz de los Bernardos gave a general overview of SunCoChem by explaining the main objectives and the expected results, as well as the different project phases and the solution being developed. The presentation also covered the general context of the EU Chemical Industry, with particular reference to research and development efforts needed for the transition towards a low-emission chemical industry and the role of solar-driven chemistry.
On the other hand, the session also included the presentation of three other ongoing research and innovation European projects: Smart4Fabry, Balance and Marisurf.
The Unprecedented Virtual Forum, organised by Fira Barcelona, Expoquimia, Eurosurfas and Equiplast, is an event aimed at presenting and addressing different cutting-edge initiatives in digitisation, circular economy and technology transfer in order to promote a sustainable development.
