Data controller

The Data Controller of the data is IHU (https://www.ihu.gr) with registered office at 17 km Thessaloniki-Sindos, 57400 Thessaloniki, Greece.  IHU shall share the data in an aggregated and anonymous form to SunCoChem project partners (you may find them at https://suncochem.eu/partners/)

IHU has implemented the necessary technical and organisational security measures that guarantee the security of the data provided and avoid its alteration, loss, processing and/or unauthorized access considering the state of technology, the nature of the stored data and the risks to which it is exposed, whether from human action or from the physical or natural environment, in accordance with the provisions of current regulations.

What is the purpose of this survey?

The aim of this survey is to explore the experts’ perceptions and willingness to adopt a carbon-neutral, green technology that uses CO₂, water and sunlight to produce materials that go into consumer goods products. This survey is being conducted by the Data Controller, IHU, in the framework of the European Research Project SunCoChem with grant agreement num. 862192.

Several survey questions may ask for personal data, such as your specialty or the company you work for, in order to secure valid data collection.

What is the legal basis of the data treatment?

The legal basis of the treatment of the data of this surveys is your consent.

Which are the recipients of the data granted for the survey?

The Data Controller is the principal recipient of the data, however, the survey is carried out using the platform Google Forms acting as the data processor. Google Forms does not require the user to register and answers will be anonymous. The researchers shall treat the data for the survey purposes and according to the European legal requirements.

The Data Controller may share the survey results with the other project partners in aggregated way.

The data will not be passed on to other third-party companies.

How long the data shall be retained?

Your answers will be treated confidentially and the information you provide will be kept anonymous in any research outputs/publications. The data provided by participants in this survey will be retained while the project’s obligations are in effect.

In case of personal data collected, which are specific consented by the subject, will be retained while the purposes of the treatment still in effect and until the subject request its erasure.

Are the data subjected of profiling procedures or automated decisions?

The subjects are not submitted to automated decisions.

The data obtained by the survey will be used for profiling to fulfil the purposes mentioned above, however the data will remain anonymous and shall be processed in accordance with the European privacy legal requirement.

Which are the rights of the survey participants?

Participation in this study is entirely voluntary and the replies will remain anonymous. The participant may stop its participation in the survey at any time or refuse the use of the data, without giving reasons.

The submission of the survey will only be possible if you answer all mandatory questions and press the submit button on the last page.

Please note however that, once you submit the survey, you may not be able to change and/or request the deletion of your results. The data collected from you will only be used by SunCoChem researchers.

The user may exercise the aforementioned rights, under the terms provided by current legislation, at the registered office of IHU or request to do so by sending an email to Dr. Antonia Delistavrou at: adelis@ihu.gr.
