D6.2 – Report on the standardization landscape and applicable standards – Full report

The deliverable D6.2 is produced in the context of SunCOChem-WP6, Task 6.3 – Standardisation activities, in particular with regard to the subtask 6.3.1 Analysis of the applicable standardization landscape. This deliverable includes as main contribution the identification and analysis of the standardisation technical committees (TCs) at European and International standardisation level related with the SunCoChem project as well as the published standards and standards under development that can be relevant and useful for all the project activities in each SunCoChem/WP. Using standards as a knowledge source in the earliest possible stages of research and innovation avoids duplication of work and provides the basis for future marketable products.

The Spanish Association for Standardisation (UNE), as a European Standardisation Body, is partner in the SunCoChem project to provide support regarding all the standardisation tasks included in the project. In order to fulfil this commitment, this deliverable has been prepared to guide the partners about the published standards and standards under development that can be applicable and are related to the SunCoChem/WP tasks.

This deliverable will also serve as source to identify, in the near future, the strategy for collaboration and communication with the relevant technical committees and the contribution to standardization in Task 6.3.2, and also to recognize the standardisation gaps that can be covered by the results of the project. These two aspects are considered in the final conclusions.
