D1.5 Optimum photo-electrodes selected and report on the performance - Executive Summary

The present deliverable reports the performance evaluation of the optimum photo-electro-anode and electro-cathode already described and selected in D1.3. Specifically, this report focuses on electrodes at larger scale: 100 cm2 sulfurized BiVO4 (S-BiVO4) as the photo-electro-anode and 10 cm2 Rhenium catalyzed Cu2O/SnO2 (Cu2O/SnO2-ReCAT) as the electro-cathode. The synthesis / fabrication procedure is described, followed by the current-voltage characteristics, selectivity and stability evaluation.

This deliverable report serves as a baseline for further integration of the photo-electro-anode and electro-cathode into SunCoChem’s tandem photo-electrocatalytic reactor (TPER) cells and modules.
