SunCoChem project presented in the European Conference on Solar Chemistry and Photocatalysis: Environmental Applications
The SunCoChem project has been presented during the 11th European Conference on Solar Chemistry and Photocatalysis: Environmental Applications (SPEA) celebrated from June 6-10 in Turin (Italy).
Miriam Díaz de los Bernardos, Emma Fernández-Llamazares and Roger Miró, from the Eurecat’s Chemical Technologies Unit, and Maddalena Zoli, from the Politecnico di Torino have participated in the conference.
During the conference the poster titled “Solar-driven CO2 reduction catalysed by Molecular Photocathode in aqueous solution” has been presented, introducing some research’s results achieved within SunCoChem project. The poster has been done by Eurecat in collaboration with partners from the Politecnico di Torino and Laurentia Technologies.
On the other hand, Miriam Díaz de los Bernardos, Roger Miró and Maddalena Zoli have delivered an oral presentation introducing some of the main developments of SunCoChem, expected results and the project’s impact in the field of sustainable chemistry.
The SPEA11 conference has covered research fields as varied as water and air treatment/disinfection, novel materials and processes for solar photocatalysis, environmental photochemistry, hydrogen production and carbon dioxide utilisation, functionalized surfaces, modelling and mechanistic studies, commercial applications and standardisation, whether the research approach is fundamental of applied.
